• National Hockey League - The only reason the NHL exists is because of the New Jersey Devils.  Enough said!

• New Jersey Devils -  The New Jersey Devils are famous for their tenacity, hard work, Ken Daneyko, Scott Stevens and, oh yeah, winning Stanley cups like they were candy.  Figure $200 for two people with good seats.  Seats behind the goal where I usually sit run $80.00 each.  I get the tickets from my favorite attorney. Deborah Gabry.  Add parking and three million dollars for food and you have an expensive proposition, but, there is nothing like seeing fully grown adults diving out of the way of frozen rubber puck going 95 mph.  And the players are exciting to watch too.   Continental Arena   Seating Chart    MAP

• New Jersey Jackels - Minor League baseball located on the campus of Montclair State University.  Anne and I are not the worlds biggest baseball fans.  Actually that's an understatement.  However,  when it comes to fun for kids and adults you simply can't beat the convenience, cost, and enjoyment you will get from going to a Jackels game.  There is always something going on during each inning.  The Jackels organization really strives to keep your attention and they do a great job.  The hot dogs are Major League quality at a Minor League price.  Be sure to get there early to eat because the food is so popular by the second inning there is a 30 minute line.  Don't miss fireworks day.  At $8.00 per ticket how can you go wrong?  MAP

• Ashley's Soccer Domain -  14 Depot Square, Montclair. 973-746-6887.  An indoor soccer facility with simulated grass located next to the Walnut Train Station in Montclair.  This is not astro turf!  Ashley's has programs year round for adults and children.  Our son Matt goes to their camps and we have found the coaches to be very good.  Besides the fact that they have British, Scottish and Irish accents, which is really cool, they are experienced players who really know how to handle groups of children.  MAP
